Amla pickle is best eaten with plain rice and melted ghee, but can be served in any Indian meal preferably with rice and dal. Some say that as the pickle ages, the cooling properties of the amla are enhanced. Amla is a popular health fruit because of its anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-diabetic properties. It is also a rich source of Vitamin C.
