Description
- The pakam/Paka will be thich and hard due to less or no water content in it and hence you may have to mix it a small amount of milk/water/ghee or all of them and prepare a dough about the consistency of your choice.
- From the prepared dough take a small quantity of dough of your choice and make multiple such doughs. Small quantities lead to small sizes and large quantity allows you to make the large size Kajjaya, make sure that you use only that fits in the presser or frying bowl.
- Using a Kajjaya presser and press it to the sizes and shapes of your choice. Or use the wooden roller pin to prepare the flat small poori sized kajjaya. You can use Sesame seeds an poppy seeds on top of the adhirasam.
- Have a utensil of your choice and pour the oil which allows you to deep fry the wet Kajjaya, fry both the sides nicely until it turns reddish brown.
- You can alternatively use ghee to deep fry the kajjaya.
- From one KG Pakam you can prepare up to 40 Kajjaya
