Wintergreen oil contains esters like methyl salicylate (>92%) which inhibit the formation of prostaglandins (toxic lipids), thereby reducing inflammation and pain. It also helps to improve the blood circulations, reduces cold and cough and headaches. Wintergreen oil is one of the main ingredients of aspirin. In general, there are no painkiller oils/sprays/balms without wintergreen oil.
